TEN is a collective of Paris-based woman filmmakers, photographers, spoken word and installation artists, media professionals, singers, performers and musicians. They first came together to explore the crossovers between different forms of art, media and communication and to challenge ideas, fuelled by their collective horizon. Over time, their informal group quickly transformed into a communal platform, TEN.
Their artistic expression and communication need not be confined to a theatre, music venue, museum or gallery. Anywhere could be their stage – from a shop window or bar, to an apartment or even an impromptu stage on a street corner. Our ‘pop-up’ approach has certainly proved popular with audiences, many of who have hailed them as a fresh and exciting addition to the Paris cultural scene.
Their bond is a love of culture and art that provokes questions and reactions and, most of all, lingers on long after the performance or rather, party is over.
